ATHENS, Ohio (Aug. 31, 2006) -- Ohio University Professor of Political Science Patricia Weitsman had an op-ed, "The High Price of Friendship," accepted for publication in The New York Times on Thursday, Aug. 31.
Weitsman is an expert in international security and has held fellowships at the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, Switzerland, and the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.
Weitsman is the author of the book, "Dangerous Alliances: Proponents of Peace, Weapons of War"; co-editor of two books, "Enforcing Cooperation: 'Risky States' and Intergovernmental Management of Conflict," and "Towards a New Europe"; and co-author of "The Politics of Policy Making in Defense and Foreign Affairs."
