ATHENS, Ohio (Nov. 22, 2004) -- Ohio University will be closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 25 and 26, in observance of the national Thanksgiving Day holiday. Although Thanksgiving Day is Thursday, Nov. 25, the university operates under a floating holiday schedule and will remain closed Friday, Nov. 26, as an observance of Columbus Day.
The university will reopen Monday, Nov. 29, operating under normally scheduled hours.
Those of you who will spend the long weekend in the Athens area may wish to take a look at the Fun Stuff page for information about area attractions and events. In addition, the Kennedy Museum of Art will be open Saturday and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. featuring the exhibit "Timeless Textiles: Traditional Pueblo Arts 1840-1940," which includes articles of clothing rarely seen outside of the context of traditional Pueblo cultural practices. Curated by Tyrone D. Campbell and organized by the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, Santa Fe, NM, this vibrant exhibition will be on display through Dec. 19.
