ZANESVILLE, Ohio (May 26, 2005) -- Stone Blind, a rock-fusion band made up of Ohio University-Zanesville students will be performing on Thursday, June 2 at 1 p.m. in the Elson Hall Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.
The band will perform during Professor Christy's Rock Music History class "I thought it would be 'edutainment' if such a word exists, for my students who are performing as well as for those who are listening" explains Christy. "I wanted to wrap up the term with a concert."
The band's members include Rob McConnell on bass guitar, Travis Weisenborn, on lead guitar and vocals and Eric Wright on drums. Professor Christy will also be performing on hand drums with the band.
Stone Blind fuses Blues, Funk, Latin, Classic Rock and jam band styles to create a unique blend of music. Those who attend the concert can expect to hear classic cover songs as well as Stone Blind originals.
