ZANESVILLE, Ohio (May 11, 2005) -- The 11th Annual Ohio University Human Resource Institute will take place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, at Ohio University-Zanesville. The theme of this year's event is "Hiring and Retaining Great Employees."
Former US Army Ranger, David Hart will be the keynote speaker. With over 2,200 parachute jumps, Hart has 21 years experience in the sport and has competed at the US Nationals three times. He brings over 15 years of sales, management and marketing business experience. His address, "Who's Packing Your Parachute," will draw together his parachute jumping experience with his business background. Mr. Hart will address the importance of background checks and pre-employment screening in the hiring process.
Concurrent and plenary sessions include topics such as "The Top Ten Ways to Retain Employees," "Employee Recognition," "The Basics of Conducting Sound Hiring Interviews" and "Employment and Labor Laws."
