ZANESVILLE, Ohio (Sept. 14, 2004) -- The Ohio University Zanesville Campus Cultural Committee begins this academic year with a 16-piece big band concert free and open to the public.
The Rusty Knights Big Band concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18, in the university's Elson Hall Auditorium. The band has been active in the Zanesville music scene for more than ten years.
The focus of the jazz band is to help preserve Big Band Jazz within the Appalachian area of Ohio, particularly in Muskingum County, and "for people to just have an enjoyable time."
