ATHENS, Ohio (Oct. 1, 2004) -- The Ohio University School of Accountancy and the Ohio Society of CPAs are sponsoring the third annual 2004 Tax CPE Conference on Friday, Oct. 22, at Nelson Commons on the Ohio University Athens Campus.
Tax professionals from around the region can participate in this multi-session conference featuring corporate, pension, individual and state tax updates. This year's conference features presentations by the Ohio Tax Commissioner William W. Wilkins and Ohio Deputy Tax Commissioner Fred Nicely.
Other featured presenters include: Bill Weidaw, C.P.A, J.D., a partner with Wilson, Shannon & Snow in Newark Ohio; Paul Bendik, C.P.A., a tax partner in the Springfield Ohio office for Clark, Schaefer, Hackett & Co.; and Bill Edwards, C.P.A., a tax partner in the Middletown, Ohio, office of Clark, Schaefer, Hackett & Co.
Participants can earn eight continuing professional education (CPE) credit hours by attending the conference; CLE credits are also available. The program fee includes the conference and accompanying workbook, continental breakfast and lunch. Discounts are available for participants from the 29 counties recognized as the Appalachian Region of Ohio.
