ATHENS, Ohio (April 25, 2005) -- The 2004-2005 Ohio University Kennedy Lecture Series is honored to present an evening with New York Times bestselling author and commentator, Barbara Ehrenreich, Wednesday, May 4, at 8 p.m. at the Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium, located on Ohio University's campus.
Ehrenreich is a recognized social commentator, author, and journalist. She is a regular contributing writer for Time Magazine and has been since 1990. Her articles and reviews, essays, and humor have appeared in a range of national publications, including The New York Times, The Washington Post Magazine, Ms., Esquire, The Atlantic Monthly, Harper's, The Nation and The New Republic, as well as newspapers throughout the world. Her book, "NICKEL AND DIMED," is a New York Times bestseller in both hardcover and paperback editions as well as a winner of both the Sydney Hillman Award for Journalism and a Brill's Content "Honorable Mention."
As well as a consistently acclaimed author, Ehrenreich is a widely known public speaker and a frequent radio and television talk show guest and has appeared on such national programs as the "Today Show," "Good Morning America," "Nightline," "Crossfire" and "All Things Considered."
