Last Thursday evening (Jan. 13) Putnam Hall was a hotbed of activity. The occasion? A rededication of the facility to the arts, along with the dedication of the Shirley Wimmer Dance Theatre. Putnam Hall, which recently underwent extensive renovation, is home to the highly ranked School of Dance and the new College of Fine Arts Aesthetic Technology Lab.
Sculpture, paintings, prints and video work by students and faculty in the School of Art were on display throughout the building and student performances included post modern dance, music and film along with excerpts from the play "Hair."
An Alice Aycock sculpture, "Energy of Spin," graces the Putnam Hall Lobby.
