ATHENS, Ohio (Oct. 26, 2004) -- Ohio University Business and Residence Services will host the third-annual Resource Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, at Bromley Hall.
The event is an opportunity for Ohio University departments and associated businesses to create awareness about their products and services to the local and campus community.
Approximately 30 vendors will set up displays that explain or demonstrate their services and many will hand out samples, brochures and gifts. Door prizes also will be given out throughout the event.
Director of Conference Services and Dining Beverley Wyatt says the event keeps growing and her goal is to have more than 300 attendees. As a bonus, the Bromley Dining Hall will offer its all-you-can-eat lunch for $5.50.
"In the past, the Resource Fair was primarily attractive to vendors who are associated with conferences and meetings planning," Wyatt said. "This year we have expanded the focus to include other types of participants. For example, Environmental Health and Safety is participating to create awareness about safety issues on campus and WellWorks has reserved a table for the first time to promote its fitness and health programs."
The Resource Fair is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Bev Wyatt at (740) 593-4090 or wyatt@ohio.edu.
