ATHENS, Ohio (Oct. 12, 2004) -- Journalist Juan Williams will be speaking as part of the Kennedy Lecture Series about his coverage of civil rights Oct. 14 at 8 p.m. in Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium.
Known for his work as the senior correspondent on National Public Radio and Fox Television, Williams is the author of three books "My Soul Looks Back in Wonder," "Eyes On The Prize" and "Thurgood Marshall: American Revolutionary."
Williams has reported on numerous topics throughout his career from covering the White House to delivering a compelling account of 50 activists who were engaged in the Civil Rights movement.
In addition to his journalism career, Williams is involved with the New York Civil Rights Coalition, Washington Journalism Center and the Aspen Institute of Communications and Society Program.
