ATHENS, Ohio (March 10, 2004) -- Earlier this week the Task Force on Inclusiveness and Equality sent a survey to assess the campus climate to everyone in the campus community.
The committee's objective is to prevent sexual harassment, eliminate hostile workplace conditions and foster a climate that expects the highest level of professional and ethical conduct from everyone in the campus community at all times.
At Provost Stephen Kopp's request, the Task Force is in the process of conducting a complete audit of current University policies and procedures involving complaints and investigative processes pertaining to allegations of hostile workplace conditions, sexual harassment complaints, accusations of unprofessional conduct, accusations of unethical conduct and related matters.
Findings and recommendations developed by the Task Force will serve as the impetus for subsequent initiatives focusing on strengthening and advancing inclusiveness and equality on campus.
