This page will help you decide if you are eligible to register for orientation, how to register for orientation, and what you can expect to learn at orientation. Additional information about parking and overnight accommodations are described below. Registration for the January 8 or 9, 2015, Transfer Student Orientation is currently available through your my.ohio.edu portal. Please log-in with your OHIO ID and password to access the link under the "My Applications" tab. Feel free to call or email the Orientation Programs office with any questions or concerns.

Orientation fees for students and guests are billed to the students' accounts and are paid in the same manner as tuition, housing, etc. Orientation fees include one meal and are non-refundable.
Transfer undergraduate students who have been admitted to the Athens campus will be eligible to register for orientation. Students eligible to attend orientation must register to attend through their my.ohio portals (my.ohio.edu). Students must register to attend orientation, as each session has limited availability. This ensures individual advising access to all students.
Registration is online, as we are unable to make reservations by phone. Here are the steps to register:
All Ohio University, Athens Campus, undergraduate students are required to attend Orientation. Students who are unable to attend the Thursday, August 21, 2014 orientation should call the Orientation Programs Office at 740.593.1951 as soon as possible, as fall semester classes.
At orientation, students will learn about academic requirements for their programs, life at Ohio University, as well as meet other new students. Orientation check-in is 8-9:45am and the last session ends between 4- 5pm.
While at orientation, students may park on-campus in a designated lot as listed on parking permit. Parking Services will be monitoring and ticketing all campus parking meters, sign-restricted spaces, disability spaces, and fire lanes/areas. For more information about parking, visit our Parking page.
