Preparing for OPIE Academic Orientation

There are no fees to attend OPIE Academic Orientation.

Who Can Attend OPIE Academic Orientation?

Ohio University OPIE students who have been admitted to the Athens campus and are studying in the Advanced or Pre-Academic level of English in OPIE will be invited by their teacher to attend.

How to Register for Orientation

The next OPIE Academic Orientation is October 22, 2014. There is no registration process to attend OPIE Academic Orientation. The OPIE office will communicate with the Orientation Programs office who is expected to attend. Participation in the entire program is required for students to register for academic courses.

Students Who Cannot Attend the Date Available

Attendance to OPIE Academic Orientation is mandatory. Students who do not attend will not be permitted to register for academic classes and will be required to attend the next orientation event. Students who cannot attend orientation should contact the OPIE office prior to orientation, 740.593.4575.

At OPIE Academic Orientation

At orientation, students will learn about academic requirements for their programs, and meet with an academic advisor to register for classes.
