Who Can Attend Orientation?

First-year undergraduate students who have been admitted to the Athens campus and who have paid their housing deposits, will be eligible to register for orientation. Students eligible to attend orientation must register to attend through their my.ohio portal (my.ohio.edu). Students must register to attend orientation, as each session has limited availability. This ensures individual advising access to all students.

How to Register for Orientation

Registration is online, as we are unable to make reservations by phone.  Here are the steps to register:

  • Go to your My OHIO account.
  • Click on the tab labeled “My Applications” and look for the box called Bobcat Student Orientation.
  • From there, access the online reservation system for Bobcat Student Orientation.
  • Choose the date that you would like to attend Orientation.
  • Enter your parent/guest information.
  • Print a copy of the confirmation letter and bring it with you to Orientation.

Shortly after you complete your reservation more specific information will be sent to you including a confirmation letter and a detailed Orientation brochure.  Please be sure to share this information with family who will be attending orientation with you.

During the registration process to attend orientation, students can select to stay in a residence hall on-campus, during their overnight stay.

Students Who Cannot Attend the Dates Available in the Registration System

Students who cannot attend the scheduled orientation, should call the Orientation Programs Office at 750.593.1951.
