Why did you pick Ohio University?
I knew Ohio University had a great College of Education and after going on a tour of campus I was sold. The campus was beautiful, like a university straight out of a movie. But most importantly I just felt comfortable.
What is the best part about living in Athens?
I love being able to walk everywhere. It is nice to not have to rely on a car to get everywhere. The heart of Athens, Court Street, is always just a hop, skip and a jump away.
What is your favorite spot on campus?
I have great memories of hanging out in the green spaces behind both of the resident halls I lived in, Jefferson and Adams. I would spend entire days outside with my friends playing Frisbee, catch or just hanging out.
What has been your favorite class at Ohio University and why?
I don’t just have one favorite class, but rather an entire block of classes. Education majors are required to take the 200 Block. These classes provide experience in the field and are really a student’s first true introduction to the College of Education. I met great people, had amazing professors and truly learned a lot while in the block.
What advice would you give a first year student?
Bring shower shoes!
