College/Major: I am a Senior Public Advocacy/Organizational Communication major who is also working to get a Political Communication Certificate.
Why did you pick Ohio University?
I chose Ohio University after falling in love with the campus. I also thought it was the perfect distance from home, a great opportunity for a fresh start, and filled with options for my future.
What is the best part about living in Athens?
The best part about living in Athens is the people. I’ve made so many great friends here that have taught me so much, and helped me feel comfortable enough to live on my own.
Where is your favorite spot on campus?
My favorite spot on campus is back by the bike path along the Hocking River. It’s a great place to have a picnic, or just relax alone or with friends in a quiet area with a beautiful view.
What has been your favorite class at OU and why?
My favorite class so far has been Cross Cultural Communication. I loved the professor, the guest speakers, and the material. It was the perfect class since I want to work internationally.
What advice would you give to a first year student?
My advice to a future student would be to be bold, you never know what great things you’ll miss out on just because you were nervous to try. OU is a great chance to check out new things!
