Office of Orientation Programs

On behalf of everyone involved with Bobcat Student Orientation (BSO), let me be the first to welcome you to Ohio University! Enabling students and parents to meet with faculty, staff, Orientation Leaders, and other new students, orientation represents the first step you take towards becoming a Bobcat!

Registration for Orientation for fall semester opens May 15th

for those who have paid the housing deposit.

Welcome

Jenny Klein, Assistant Dean, University College, 2013It is our goal as the Orientation staff to insure that both new students and parents begin the process of integrating themselves into the University community. To accomplish this goal, all new students attend a one-and-a-half day program in the summer. Those enrolling in the spring semester will attend a one-day program directly prior to the beginning of the semester.

During Orientation, faculty and Orientaton Leaders address a variety of issues pertaining to incoming students. By participating in the orientation program, you learn about your college's curriculum, meet other students in your college, register for classes, and learn about other important campus-related information.

Feel free to search our website for information on orientation and the process of registering for the program. Schedules, times, dates, and FAQs for both new students and parents can be found throughout the orientation website. If you have any questions that are not answered in the following pages, please call us at 740.593.1951. Once again, on behalf of the staff, welcome to Ohio University and Bobcat Student Orientation!

Sincerely,

Jenny Klein
