Field Trip! This was one of the highlights:
Hognosed Snake (Heterodon platirhinos)
Also seen were milksnakes, a ringnecked snake, fence lizards, copperheads,
a black ratsnake, a box turtle, a snapping turtle, a red eft,
and a slimy salamander.
9 November 2003
The club was privileged to receive a behind-the-scenes tour of the
Columbus Zoo's Reptile House. Special thanks to Liz Burke for
leading the tour!

A group of us went for a hike in the Lake Hope (Vinton Co, OH) area.
Here's a picture of club president Jason Folt with a young
Northern Watersnake (Nerodia sipedon).
The big one "got away"... Other herps seen on this day
include Ringnecked Snakes; Green Frogs; Slimy, Twolined, Redbacked,
and Dusky Salamanders; and an American Toad.

Several of us went for a hike in the Wayne National Forest
near Nelsonville, OH. Herps seen: Box Turtles, American Toads,
Slimy and Redbacked Salamanders, a Ringnecked Snake, and
an Eastern Fence Lizard.
