Christian Lindsey - ConductorChristian A. Lindsey is studying for his Masters degree in Choral Conducting at OU and is the Graduate Assistant conductor of Women’s Chorale. He has studied with Raymond Gibbs, Richard Christ, and Philip Christiansen winning first prize at the PCC Commencement Contest and NATS Buckeye Vocal Competition. Christian was the recipient of several awards & scholarships including Friends of Opera Ohio Scholarship, the Ruby Mercer Award, and the Presser Foundation Award. He has performed lead tenor roles in several musicals and operas including H.M.S. Pinafore, Patience, Gianni Schicchi, Die Zaurberflöte, and Three-Penny Opera as well as important works by Bach, Handel, Haydn, Mozart and Dubois. His "expertise" is in Spanish zarzuela, a genre of operetta popular in Spain where he lived and worked for several years as music director of two zarzuela choruses and polyphonic choir, having conducted, accompanied, coached or sung lead roles in multiple performances of over 15 different zarzuela works. Mr. Lindsey spent time at Universidad Cristiana de las Américas in Monterrey, Mexico as music coordinator, conductor and vocal coach. He also has continued to serve as Music Director of churches in Spain, Mexico, and the US, currently serving at Decatur Chapel Church in Little Hocking, Ohio.
Carolyn Milbaugh - PresidentCarolyn is a Senior Music Education major from Lancaster, Ohio, a Soprano II, and is currently serving as President of Women's Chorale. This is her fourth year in Women’s Chorale. She is also involved in other organizations across campus, including: the Ohio University Marching 110, Title IX, Sigma Alpha Iota - women's music fraternity, and the Collegiate National Association for Music Education.
Kristina Rowles - Vice PresidentKristina is a senior Music Therapy major from Findlay, Ohio, and is an Alto I. After graduation, she will complete a music therapy internship, take an exam to become a board certified music therapist, and then hopefully find a job! In addition to singing, she also enjoys playing the piano and guitar. Kristina has been a member of Women's Chorale and Title IX for four years. Her favorite part of Women's Chorale is the tour in the spring. She is also a member of the American Music Therapy Association Students, Alpha Omicron Pi, and Mortar Board. Kristina has also worked for the Appalachia Service Project the last four summers and has a love for the Appalachian mountains.
Sydney Reck - TreasurerSydney is a Senior Special Education major with a focus in music and a minor in Spanish originally from Chardon, Ohio. This is her fourth year in Women's Chorale, and she is an Alto II. Apart from being in Women's Chorale she is involved with Title IX, a lot of local community service, and this is her third year being a resident assistant. After graduation, Sydney is looking into joining the Peace Corps, and then later hopes to get a job as an early childhood special education teacher. Eventually, she would like to do research for Autism. Her favorite memory in Women's Chorale thus far is going to Chicago with Title IX in Spring of 2011 to audition for the Sing Off. Anytime that all the girls get to hang out and socialize are her favorite times!
Megan Diehl - SecretaryMegan is a Senior Nursing student with a Psychology minor from Alliance, Ohio and has been in Women's Chorale for three years as an Alto I. Megan was also a member of Title IX for one year. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, a professional women's music fraternity on campus. Megan is also the current coordinator OU-COM SAF Cafe. After she graduates, Megan would like to work as a pediatric oncology nurse at children's hospital. Megan's favorite memory with Women's Chorale is singing For Good during her sophomore year to say goodbye to the seniors.
Kaity Conner - Tour ManagerKaity is a Junior Broadcast Journalism major, Spanish minor from Liberty Township, Ohio in the Soprano II section. Last summer, she worked as an intern for the Dayton Daily News and Cox Media Group. On campus, Kaity works for WOUB radio and serves as a host, choreographer and segment producer for AVW’s children’s show Confused? She is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society and Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity. Kaity sings in the praise band at Campus Crusade for Christ’s weekly gathering, 180, and is a leader in its Greek Bible study. Along with singing, she plays the piano and guitar, and performs in musical theatre productions. Kaity’s favorite Chorale memories include building strong relationships with the wonderful friends she found in both Women’s Chorale and Title IX.
Kerri Van Reeth - Public RelationsKerri Van Reeth is a Senior majoring in Communication Studies with a focus in Health Communication; she is also minoring in Retail Fashion and Product Development. Because of her love for the fine arts, she has also added a Related Area in Theatre/Dance Performing Arts. Kerri is a 3rd year Resident Assistant, on East Green, and was awarded the 2010 RA Rookie of the Year during her first year on the job. She is also a member of Sigma Alpha Lamba National Honor Fraternity, Lambda Pi Eta National Communication Honorary, and was recently inducted into the Mortar Board National Senior Honor Society. Kerri has been a member of Women’s Chorale for three years, this year makes it four, and in Title IX for one year as an Alto I. She loves being a part of such an amazing group of young women, and would be lost without them!
Kristin Ferguson - Historian & LibrarianKristin Ferguson is a Junior AYA math education major from Athens, Ohio. This will be her second year in Women’s Chorale as an Alto II. Outside of Women’s Chorale, Kristin is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota (women’s music fraternity) where she serves as the fundraising chair. She is also involved in different productions with the Lost Flamingo Company, a student run theatre group, which recently performed "Sweeney Todd" and she helps her local high school in their theatre productions throughout the year. After she graduates Kristin plans on following in her little brothers’ foots steps in joining the Marine Corps. After serving her years there she will hopefully settle down and find a job where she can continue her love of music, theatre and teaching!
Emily Young - Webmaster & Alumni LiaisonEmily is a Senior Video Production major with an area of interest in Child and Family Studies and a minor in Music. She is from Ashville, Ohio and this is her fourth year in Women’s Chorale as an Alto II. Emily has been a member of Title IX for two years. Emily is also part of AVW Productions, a student run television production company out of Ohio University. During Summer 2011, she studied documentary filmmaking and scriptwriting in Ireland. Her dream job would involve working on Disney productions. Her favorite memory from Women's Chorale last year was helping organize the 10 Year Title IX reunion.
