I am coming out with a group, can we jump at the same time? Yes. Smaller groups are usually no problem. Please let us know in advance or when you check in if you want to jump with a group of friends. Larger groups of 5 or more should call ahead to verify the time they want to jump on the same plane. Is there an age requirement? You must be 18, there are no exceptions on this rule. A valid photo ID (drivers license or state ID) is required to jump. If you do not have an ID you will not be allowed to jump. Is there an age limit? There is no maximum age limit, but the minimum age is 18 regardless of parental consent. Greene County has taken people as old as 18 and as young as 80! Is there a weight limit? Yes. Jumpers must weigh less than 240 lbs., exceptions made on a case-by-case basis with the instructor having the final decision. Please call ahead and ask manifest about this if you have any questions. What should I wear? Dress comfortably with the temperature in mind. It can be much colder at jump altitude then it is on the ground. Jeans (shorts are ok too in the summer) and gym shoes are ideal. No Tevas, sandals, flip-flops, or cowboy boots please. Also please avoid wearing boots with "hooks" on them. You may wear shoes like that during the wait, but please bring a pair of gym shoes to jump in. You will not be permitted to jump without shoes. Skydive Greene County will provide everything else needed for a successful skydive! Are there any physical requirements? As with any physical sport, the better shape you are in the easier it will be. However, we've taken people with many different disabilities including paralyzed legs and other disabilities. We have some of the most experienced tandem masters in the region at Skydive Greene County. If you have a question about these requirements, call! What do I need to bring? A valid photo ID, money and a willingness to have the experience of your life! Can I bring my own camera with me on the jump? No, you and your instructor are much too busy with your skydive to look after your cameras. It very easily may get lost or broken and we cannot risk dropping it in freefall or under parachute. But we do offer the skills of highly experienced freefall videographers to fall along with you and share the experience of freefall with you. Can I get a video or stills of my jump? Yes, the cost of the video is $70, Stills are an additional $25. All videos are edited to music and include a pre and post jump interview. Can we get one video for our whole group? No, the time/distance gap between jumper exits prevents a camera person from being able to film more than one student at a time. How long is the training? About 15-20 minutes to watch the videos and sign the hold- harmless waivers then another 15-20 minutes of one on one instruction with your tandem instructor. How long will this take? It is wise to allow yourself to spend half a day on a weekend. Be prepared to spend at least half a day no matter if you choose to jump on a weekday or a weekend. On extremely busy weekends, it make take at least half a day if you do not have a prior appointment. We will make every effort to get you to jump as soon as possible. Can I bring my friends and family to watch? Definitely YES! We encourage you to share the experience with your entire family. Lots of spectators end up jumping after they see and hear how much fun everyone else had on their jumps. Do you require reservations or deposits? Reservations or deposits are never required at Skydive Greene County, but they are encouraged. We would like a few days notice for groups larger then 3. |
