This Commission serves as a liaison between Senate and the City of Athens and Athens County, including all agencies and subdivisions thereof. The Commissioner, or designee, attends all Athens City Council meetings, maintains relationships with city and county elected officials, conveys the opinion of Senate, and ensures that the rights of students are protected and interests advanced.The commission also plans the Athens Community Business Fair.

City and County Affairs Commission
Most of my week consisted of working with LDC and the execs on the OSGA Conference contacting speakers, talking to catering and scheduling rooms for the event.
I also worked the senate table for the town meeting and attended the Athens Town City Council meeting Monday evening.
My interns are working on contacting charities for us to volunteer at and Vice Commissioner Krukowski is contacting elementary schools to see if they are interested in participating the Rwanda Gala being put together by DAC.
