Welcome from the EditorAs a fashion-conscious college student, I'm aware of the frustrations young men and women face while reading the popular fashion magazines of today. Often times we find ourselves consumed by fabulous fashion goals, but lack the means of achieving them, which is why I've gathered a team of style-savvy journalists, photographers, and advertising gurus to provide an outlet of everything you love about those other magazines, but in a way that is both realistic and attainable to any college student. So, without further ado, as founder and current Editor-in-Chief, it is my pleasure to introduce you to Ohio University's first, only, and very much needed fashion magazine. Meet POISE fashion.
The simple skin care and make up tips found in Beauty on the Go, as well as the quick and helpful healthy pointers offered in Fitness in a Flash, will make sure you always find yourself on top of your Health and Beauty game. OU Shopping, another regular feature, is dedicated to providing you with the inside scoop of otherwise unknown local shopping opportunities, while Dressing for Your Body, will guarantee that when you do find the shops, you'll never succumb to becoming a a fashion disaster. Answering your questions about love, sex, and relationships, is a challenge we're ready to face, and in Bedside Manners, a fantastically fun and upbeat feature, we'll provide you with modern intimate-etiquette. This quarter, we take a look at the Dos and Don'ts of One Night Stands! Honoring those who demonstrate every thing POISE fashion stands for is also something we're dedicated to doing, which is why one young man and women of Ohio University is selected to represent POISE each quarter. Carly Miller, ourfirst ever Poised Fashionista, woed us with her beauty and grace, while Victor Rasgaitis sang his way into our hearts and onto the Can't Take Our Eyes Off scoreboard. These are just a few of the many ventures POISE fashion is ready to take you on, quarter after quarter, but because it is our first ever issue (whew!) we want to know what you think! Let us know what you loved, hated and want to see more of! Didn't have something you were hoping to see? Let us know! Consider this a test - we'll do anything we can to Ace it in the future!
