I’ve done the vegan thing, loved (and miss) the long flowing skirts of the bohemian fad, and have even tried meditating, all in attempts to find my inner “Zen.” By now it seems only natural that I would have taken a yoga class. However, as my friends and family constantly remind me, I am not the most coordinated person in the world. I frequently drop things, stumble over my own feet, and have tripped up Bentley’s staircases more times than I care to mention. In short, I am the perfect specimen of clumsy. However, I believe it imperative to try anything that’s good for you at least once. Plus, if Madonna and Meg Ryan swear by it, it has to be worth a shot.
Reflecting on my yoga adventure, I would suggest it to anyone. No matter where you are on the road to fitness, the yoga classes at Ping have something to offer even the most uncoordinated of us. It allows a monetary diversion from the unnecessary distractions that cloud your mind everyday. For 45 minutes you are totally free from exams, ex-boyfriends, and messy roommates. You are free to just be; you are free to just breathe.
