Prayer Halls (Men & Women)

The Islamic Center contains facilities which support the needs of the Athens Muslim Community. The main and the most important facility is, without a doubt, the prayer hall. The prayer hall is the place to perform the daily five prayers as well as the weekly congregational Friday prayer. The Center has two separate prayer halls, one for men (downstairs), and the other for women (upstairs).

Each hall has multiple usages, such as for holding community gatherings, lectures, presentations, and celebrations. Downstairs prayer hall can accommodate up to two hundred people at the same time. The sisters' prayer hall has the space for up to eighty people. Both prayer halls are maintained by Muslim brothers and sisters on a voluntary basis.
