    History

    Habitat for Humanity International

In 1976, Millard Fuller and his Wife, Linda, founded a non-profit Christian housing organization.  Today, that non-profit organization is Habitat for Humanity International.

Fuller’s dream and the goal if Habitat for Humanity International is to increase awareness of impoverished living conditions and homelessness, and to then eliminate it.

Individuals, working with each other under the name of Habitat for Humanity, have built more than 150,000 houses worldwide.  This has provided 750,000 people with decent low-cost housing.  In fact, every 26 minutes, a new Habitat house is constructed.

For more information, visit Habitat for Humanity International at www.habitat.org.
