The official name of this organization is Faces Modeling Club of Ohio University.
The purpose of FACES Modeling Club shall be to unite people of many races in the hopes of developing a better relationship in the Ohio University community. This task will be done through:
The members of this organization shall consist of: A president, a vise-president, a treasurer, a secretary, an advertising executive, a sargeant at arms, a web-master various committee chairs, x-number of models, and x-number of non-modeling members. Membership is open to all interested students who have passed the audition. Membership can also be extended to any person who wishes to participate as a member of Faces active only on the various committees and/or behind the scenes, and without actually modeling, with the approval of the president.
Please note: Those members wishing not to model must pay thier dues and attend all meetings.
Section I: The immediate executive board shall consist of a president, a vice president, a treasurer, a secretary, an advertising executive, and a sergeant at arms. Other committee chairs would also be considered members of the executive board as needed. Advertising should be considered as immediate executive board because he/she are needed year round. Where as, other committee chairs may only be needed during the show and performance times.
Section II: Voting procedures of the group members shall do Selection of officers. The nominated person with the most votes shall fill the given position. Any active member may run for any of the various committees chair positions. In order to run for an executive board position, one must have actively participated in a annual Sibs Weekend show. all nominees shall present an informal speech on why they feel the deserve the position for which they have been nominated. Also, the person who is nominating must give their reasons for nominating the individual.
Section III: Any member wishing to run for president or vice-president must be an active member of Faces for three consecutive quarters.
Section IV: The term for each officer shall start at the beginning of the academic school year, following the elections and last for one full school term. However, terms can be extended if the officer is re-voted in for the next election.
Section V: Should an officer's position become vacant, immediate open election(s) shall be held to fill the vacancy(s). If the president's position should become vacant, the vice-president shall resume the position and another person shall be selected for the vice- presidency by the immediate executive board. (According to article IV, section III). if a committee chair's position becomes vacant, the immediate executive board shall select a new committee chair.
Section VI:, If any member of the executive board or any committee chair does not fulfill his/her responsibilities as described in their duties, he/she may be removed from his/her position by a three-forths vote of the other members of the organization. A new person shall be selected for the position as stated in Article IV, Section V.
Dues for FACES Modeling Club of Ohio University shall be a lumb sum of $10.00 for the entire year(three quarters). The treasurer should provide each member who has paid his/her dues with a reciept. Only members who have paid their dues will be considered active and able to participate in any event.
Priveleges will be based on a merit/demerit system. ...
All members shall decide upon all shows and scenes. All members will select scenes with final arrangements made by the executive board and committee chairs. Once scenes have been set and models have been selected, all scenes will be closed and only those signed up will be allowed to participate, unless otherwise stated by the executive board.
President: shall be present and preside over all meetings and will be the exutive voice over all subject matter dealing with the organization. He/she shall be the final dicision maker as far as club matters. His/her duties are outlined in the duties of executive board members.
Vice-president: Shall serve as assistant to the president and will take over meetings when the president cannot be present. He/she will also confirm actions taken with the president. His/her duties also include the following: See Duties and Responsibilities of Executive Board.
Treasurer: Shall handle all financial aspects of the club. His/her duties also include the following:See Duties and Responsibilities of Executive Board.
Secretary: Shall handle all paper work, and minutes of the meeting. Secretary should also remind all members of upcoming meetings, practices, and other scheduled events by calling, e-cailing, etc.(Whichever is most effective) President must approve all actions. If these duties become too much for the secretary to handle alone, the president and the secretary together will appoint an assistant secretary. Advertising Executive: Shall handle all forms of advertising including programs pamphlets, and information brochures. Their duties also include the following:See Duties and Responsibilities of Executive Board.
Sergeant at arms: Shall keep the peace and maintain order at all times during all meetings and practices.
Committee Chairs: Shall follow and fulfill his/her duties described in the Duties and Responsibilities of the Executive Board. All actions taken by the committee chairs should be told to the vice-president, who will in turn discuss the procedures with the president. Each committee chair will be told a deadline for specific actions and is expected to meet all deadlines. If not, the vice president should be notified with the reason why the deadline cannot be made. Committee chairs will communicate with each other concerning all actions and relay all information to the vice-president. The president should be up-to-date on all correspondings. All actions should be put in writing and a copy should be given to the secretary for filing.
Models/Non Models/Members: All members are expected to attend all meetings and practices on time. Members will be given a ten minute grace period before a demerit will be issued for tardiness. Excused absences must be discussed with the sergeant at arms. Excused absences include class, exams, illness, job and death. Anything else is decided with the discretion of the sergeant at arms. If at any time a member no longer wishes to be apart of FACES, or wishes to be inactive for a quarter, he/she must inform the president in writing. The secretary in turn will file the resignation/inactive notification. Also, it is each members responsibility to notify the secretary for address and phone number changes A.S.A.P.
