I. The precious
of Jesus
1 Peter 2:7 Where
fore
also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner
stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
(1 Peter 1:18-19) The great value: No more
valuable thing in the universe.
(1 Peter 1:7) more precious than gold
God paid the highest price (Jesus died
for us, the precious blood of Christ) which is nothing can be exchan
ged
by gold or any treasures.
(2 Peter 1:4) Something else is precious
that is his very great and precious promises
In the beginning of the school year, ask
ourselves "what is your experience of the worth of the Savior? Is Christ
precious to your heart?"
II September 11
attack
(Isaiah 26:9) There's a lesson
behind
the tragedy.
(Isaiah 10:5)
God has purpose for allowing the destroying
happened. When it starts, God has his discipline to establish them
for correction. What we need to learn is not to ask "How God use
the worse sinners to correct sins (Americans)?"
(Luke 13:1-3) "If God is good, why did
this happen?" "If man is good, why this happen?"
(2 Corinthians 1:3-4; 1:8-9) It's about
time to be brave, to spread gospel.
Daniel Chapter 9
Behind the evil, there is something good.
God brings his program behind this.
Just like before a play begin, the curtain
pull up, and everything has been set up ready on the stage. God is
preparing for the stage right now.
World War I: God prepared the land of
the Jewish people (they would go back to their land).
World War II: God prepared Jew for their
land
Now God is preparing for His return. Jew
will rebuild their temple for the second coming of Jesus. When He is back,
he is going to raise His throne.

Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do
not believe, "The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone," |
| 1 Peter 1:18-19 |

or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to
you from your forefathers,
19. but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or

| 1 Peter 1:7 |
These have come so that your faith- of greater worth than gold, which
perishes even though refined by fire- may be proved genuine and may result
in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed. |
| 2 Peter 1:4 |
Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises,
so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape
the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. |

The precious of
Faith
1 Peter 2:7 Wherefore
also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner
stone, elect, preci
ous: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
(John 8:31) Jesus is not precious to these
people. How angry can make unrighteous persons!
(John 8:34) This is the worst kind of
slavery (slave to sin)
(John 8:37) Some people always made up
their mind, there's nothing can change them.
(John 8:41) This is where got nasty, nobody
knew Jesus born from a virgin except Mary & Joseph. Jesus is not precious
to these people had made up their mind.
Matthew 16:13 Faith is precious,
even it's just little
(1 Peter 1:7) More precious than gold.
How can we get more faith? Will you ask
more faith instead of gold?
(Romans 5:1) Justice by faith Get purified
by faith befor
e baptize
Hebrew Chapter 11
Abel's faith: worship God
Enoch's faith: walked with God (please
God)
Noah's faith: waited on GodFaith will
give us enough strength to wait for God.
Some people can't wait because they don't
believe (they don't have the ability)
People always want what they want right
now, but Christian have the ability to wait for God
Hebrew 11:8-21 Abraham's faith
How can people keep their faith? Why some
people being Christians for such a long time even whole of their life?
How can it keep going & believing?
This is the miracle of God. Only there's
a little faith exist, like a sparking, and then the faith will
keep on
and on.
People ask "how to know God's will?"
the answer is to learn God's way.
For Abraham, God's way is one man and
one woman. Therefore, Abraham listened to it without arguing.
However, people are sinners, so we mess things up all the time. Even
like Abraham such a good coach lied about his wife as his sister.
Faith grows! For you
ng Christians, keep
seeking and studying! Faith grows!
(John 8:31) Saving faith goes on and on!
Saving faith (John 3:16) is different
from temporary faith.

The precious blood
of Jesus
1 Peter 1:18-19
[kjv] And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth
according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in
fear: Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things,
as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from
your fathers;
<
p>Redemption of
sins
Redemption means to buy/purchase. The
price of our sins was paid by the sacrifice of Jesus's blood.
In God's eye blood was a sacred thing.
The blood fills the world with glory.
(Genesis 9:4) Before this time, there's
no meat eating untill God gave the permission.
Animal blood was sacred, which present
the life of animal. Animal blood was used to worship in Old Testament.
(Leviticus 17:10-11)Why God so upset about
eating blood?
God want us think of blood in a sacred
way/in a holy way.
There's no acceptance for the sinner,
no pardon for the penitent, no sanctification for the believer but in the
vicarious sacrifice of
God. Sin can't be taken without blood taking place.
Substitute (animals) die for us, so the sin can be taken.
God want to teach us that sin is very
serious. it needs to be paid for.
-
Pass over: (Exodus 12:13)
-
The night before Jesus die (Matthew 26:28)
God found a way to forgive sinners, which
is the most beautiful part
of the Bible.
(Acts 20:28) Here tells us that Jesus
is God. God's blood paid for our sins.
God's Justice
(Romans 3:21; 25) through faith in his
blood
(Romans 5:9) justified by his blood
Redemption/Forgiveness
(Ephesians 1:7) (Hebrew 9:14; 10:19; 13:12)
(1 Peter 1:2) (Revelation 1:5; 5:9; 7:14; 12:11) the
forgiveness of sins

The hot water bottle
One night I had worked hard to help a
mother in the labor ward; but in spite of all we could do she died leaving
us with a tiny premature baby and a crying two-year-old daughter.
We would have difficulty keeping the baby alive, as we had no incubator.
(We had no ele
ctricity to run an incubator.)
We also had no special feeding facilities.
Although we lived on the equator, nights
were often chilly with treacherous drafts.
One student midwife went for the box we
had for such babies and the cotton wool the baby would be wrapped in. Another
went to stoke up the fire and fill a hot water bottle. She came back
shortly in distress to tell me that in filling the bottle, it had burst.&nb
sp;
Rubber perishes easily in tropical climates. "And it is our last hot water
bottle!" she exclaimed. As in the West it is no good crying over spilled
milk, so in Central Africa it might be considered no good crying over burst
water bottles. They do not grow on trees, and there are no drugstores down
forest pathways.
"All right," I said, "put the baby as near
the fire as you safely can, and sleep between the baby and the door to
keep it free from drafts. "Your
job is to keep the baby warm."
The following noon, as I did most days,
I went to have prayers with any of the orphanage children who chose to
gather with me. I gave the youngsters various suggestions of things to
pray about and told them about the tiny baby. I explained our problem
about keeping the baby warm enough, mentioning the hot water bottle. The
baby could so easily die if it got chills. I also told them of the two-year-old
sister, crying be
cause her mother had died.
During the prayer time, one ten-year-old
girl, Ruth, prayed with the usual blunt conciseness of our African children.
"Please, God," she prayed, "send us a water bottle. It'll be no good tomorrow,
God, as the baby will be dead, so please send it this afternoon."
While I gasped inwardly at the audacity of the prayer, she added by way
of a corollary, "And while You are about it, would You please send a dolly
for the little gi
rl so she'll know You really love her?" As often
with children's prayers, I was put on the spot. Could I honestly say, "Amen?"
I just did not believe that God could do
this. Oh, yes, I know that He can do everything. The Bible says so.
But there are limits, aren't there? The only way God could answer this
particular prayer would be by sending me a parcel from the homeland. I
had been in Africa for almost four years at that time, and I had never,
ever
received a parcel from home. Anyway, if anyone did send me a
parcel, who would put in a hot water bottle? I lived on the equator!
Halfway through the afternoon, while I
was teaching in the nurses' training school, a message was sent that there
was a car at my front door. By the time I reached home, the car had gone,
but there, on the verandah, was a large twenty-two pound parcel.
I felt tears pricking my eyes. I could not open the parcel alone, so I
sent for the orphanage children. Together we pulled off the string, carefully
undoing each knot. We folded the paper, taking care not to tear it unduly.
Excitement was mounting.
Some thirty or forty pairs of eyes were
focused on the large cardboard box. From the top, I lifted out brightly
colored, knitted jerseys. Eyes sparkled as I gave them out.
Then there were the knitted bandages for
the leprosy patients, and the chil
dren looked a little bored. Then came
a
box of mixed raisins and sultanas-that would make a batch of buns for the
weekend.
Then, as I put my hand in again, I felt the.....could it really be?
I grasped it and pulled it out-yes, a brand-new, rubber hot water bottle
I cried. I had not asked God to send it; I had not truly believed that
He could.
Ruth was in the front row of, the children. She rushed forward, crying
out, "If God has sent the bottle, He must have sent the dolly, too!" Rumma
ging
down to the bottom of the box, she pulled out the small, beautifully dressed
dolly. Her eyes shone! She had never doubted. Looking up at me, she asked:
"Can I go over with you, Mummy, and give this dolly to that little girl,
so she'll know that Jesus really loves her?"
That parcel had been on the way for five whole months. Packed up by
my former
Sunday school class, whose leader had heard and obeyed God's prompting
to send a hot water bottle, even to the equator. And one of the girls ha
d
put in a dolly for an African child-five months before-in answer to the
believing prayer of a ten-year-old to bring it "that afternoon."
"Before they call, I will answer!" Is 65:24 Live as
if Christ died yesterday, arose this morning, and is coming back tomorrow.
Please share this amazing story with as many others as you can.
Our God really IS . . . AN AWESOME GOD! 1 minute
prayer
This awesome prayer takes less than a min
ute.
When you receive this, say the prayer. That's all you have to do.
There is nothing attached. This is powerful.
Just send it on to whomever you want - but do send it on.......please!
Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive. There is no cost but a
lot of rewards. Let's continue praying for one another.
Father, I ask you to bless my friends reading this right now. I am asking
You to minister to their spirit at this very moment.
Where there is pain, give them
Your peace and mercy.
Where there is self doubting, release a renewed confidence in Your
ability to work through them.
Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion, I ask You to give them understanding,
guidance, and strength as they learn submission to Your leading.
Where there is spiritual stagnation, I ask You to renew them by revealing
Your nearness, and by drawing them into greater intimacy with You.
Where there is fear, reveal Your love, and release to them Your cou
rage.
Where there is a sin blocking them, reveal it, and break its hold over
my friend's life.
Bless their finances, give them greater vision, and raise up leaders
and friends to support and encourage them.
Give each of them discernment to recognize the evil forces around them,
and reveal to them the power they have in You to defeat it.
I ask You to do these things in Jesus' name.
