In honor of the 10th Annual Sports in Africa Conference, Ohio University has invited two-time Olympic gold medalist Lee Evans to speak as a guest panelist on “survival of the fastest” in the world of Black athletes Thursday, April 10, 2014, from 4-6 p.m. in Baker University Center Theater. Evans was inducted into the Track and Field Hall of Fame in 1983. He is a Fulbright scholar and has more than 20 years of teaching and coaching experience.

Other highlights from the conference include a panel discussion with Col. Frank Underwood Jr. Friday, April 11, 2014, 3:30-4:15 p.m. in Baker University Center Multicultural Center, and the keynote address by Dr. Martha Saavedra April 11 from 5-6:30 p.m. in Baker University Center Theater.

Aaron Carter, the pop star sensation of the early 2000s, will come to Ohio University to celebrate #TBT (Throwback Thursday) with UPC and BSCPB. Enter the Aaron Carter Instagram contest to get a chance to meet him! Carter will headline the live music event along with Brandon “DJ B-Funk” Thompson and DJ A-roc. If you come, you’ll get to travel back in time with airbrush snapbacks, inflatables and a roller rink!
