Class Climate: New way to administer evaluations/surveys
Starting summer 2012, the mainframe-based course evaluation system will be replaced with a new tool called Class Climate.
Class Climate allows you to design your own, custom evaluations/surveys and administer them either online or via paper sheets. It offers a great deal of flexibility and returns results through a web page interface or in PDF format. Class Climate does not offer central printing of reports. If you would like a hard copy, you will need to print one from your electronic results.
If you would like to try the new system out before summer, Class Climate is available now. A number of departments already are using Class Climate with great success; however, you are not required to change until summer 2012. The mainframe system will remain available for spring term.
If you wish to use paper surveys, please note that standard 4521 Scantron sheets will work, but custom, pre-printed sheets will require additional programming (with an associated fee from Scantron) to work with the new system. As a free alternative, Class Climate does include the ability to generate custom sheets for each course or survey.

Mainframe-based course evaluations available for spring 2012
The Test Score Office will continue to offer mainframe-based course evaluations for spring 2012. This service generates laser printed reports that include the mean, standard deviation, number of valid responses, and number of invalid/missing responses for each item. The number and percentage of respondents selecting each response option is also provided.In summer 2012, this service will be replaced by Class Climate (see above).
