Data Rescue

Vendor:

Prosoft Engineering, Inc.

Description:

Data recovery for Macintosh. Focusing on data recovery, not hard drive repair, Data Rescue can recover data from a corrupt drive, even if it no longer mounts. Data Rescue does not write to your damaged hard disk, instead it writes your files to a second drive - ensuring that your data can be restored without further damage. There are three different versions of the rescue software (II, Classic & Legacy).

The license was paid for by the College of Fine Arts, but the Technology Depot will be handling the distribution of the licenses and media.

How To Acquire:

Obtaining Departmental Copies of Media

Data Rescue can be installed on "university-owned" machines only. Student/Faculty/Staff home-use rights are NOT included in this license.

There will be no charge for the license. Duplication of the media is not allowed.  E-mail sitelicenses@ohio.edu with your order.  Once your order is processsed, you will be e-mailed.

If your department needs their own set of media, we can purchase you a single CD from Data Rescue for $10. All three versions would be $30.
