Ohio University participates in the AutoDesk Comprehensive Education Solution (ACES) Software Subscription Program. Under this agreement OU departments may acquire the right to use an entire suite of Design and Drafting products. Software may only be installed on University-Owned machines.

The Technology Depot also sells the student license for students. 

How To Acquire:

Departments - How To Obtain Software:

Each license cost $275 (one license for each computer). One license entitles you to install one or all of the above products. Continued use requires an annual renewal fee of $275 per license. Software may only be installed on university-owned machines.

Example: Your department buys two licenses for $550. This will keep you current for one year. If you want to keep using the licenses for a second year, another $550 will be due. Annual e-mails will be sent to verify continued use before billing is processed for renewal fees.

Media (CDs) can only be checked out for installation.  To order a license and arrange for pick-up of the media, send an e-mail to sitelicenses@ohio.edu with your oak id, departmental account number, number of licenses needed, etc.  You will be e-mailed when your order is ready to be picked-up at the Technology Depot, Baker University Center, 112 (Tech Depot Hours).

Students - How To Obtain Software:

Athens Campus - Students can purchase the AutoDesk license/DVD from the Technology Depot, Baker University Center, 112 (Tech Depot Hours).

Regional Campus - Students can purchase the AutoDesk license/DVD at the library located on their regional campus, except at the Southern (purchase from Computer Services) & Zanesville (purchase from Help Desk, Elson Hall Room 102).

Distance/On-Line Students - Students not residing close to an OU campus, can request for software to be sent via mail (USPS).  Send request to techdepot@ohio.edu.  Include name, OHIO ID (i.e. email or PID), mailing address, software title (including platform – Window or Mac) and authorization to bill your student account.  We will bill your account for the price of the software with tax and $5 shipping and handling.

Details

• The cost for the AutoDesk 2010 Student Version license and DVD is $222 (plus tax) - cash or charge directly to your student bill.  Athens campus accepts credit cards.
• You must be a currently enrolled student and have your university ID with you.
