S-Plus is a statistical software package.

The license agreement does entitle end users (faculty and staff) to obtain one license and use the software at home provided both machines (office and home machines) are not used at the same time. This is not for personal use but for assisting with work projects.

How To Acquire:

Departmental Licenses (University-Owned Computers)

The Technology Depot needs an departmental account number to process the order.  Visit the Technology Depot or

E-mail sitelicenses@ohio.edu with questions.

Windows Platform:

• S-Plus with SpatialStats, EnvironmentalStats, Wavelets & S+FinMetrics Modules
• Version 8.0.4
• $200 per license - departmental account number needed (Effective 7/1/11)
• $10 for CD set
• Note:  New Version Upgrades:  When a new version is released, there will be a $50 upgrade fee if departments want the new version. (Effective 7/1/11)

Solaris/Linux Platform:

• S-Plus (Modules are not available for Solaris or Linux)
• Version 7.0
• $200 per license (departmental account number needed)
• $10 for CD set 

Support & Installation Information:

S-Plus manuals are loaded with the software. To view a manual on-line, open S-Plus, choose Help, then On-line Manuals from the menu and select the desired title.
