How To Acquire:

Departmental Copies for University-Owned Machines:

DVDs can be used for installation of the software on Ohio University-owned computers only. There is no departmental charge for the license. The license has been paid for by OIT. DVDs are $10 per set.

Note: If you place an order and elect to pick-up the software at the Tech Depot, you will receive an e-mail from sitelicenses@ohio.edu when your order is ready.

Regional Campus - Departments can contact the library located on their regional campus, except at the Southern (from Computer Services) & Zanesville (from Help Desk, Elson Hall Room 102). DVDs can be used for installation of the software on Ohio University-owned computers only.

Students - How To Obtain Software:

Students should download the free Office 365 ProPlus (which includes the latest version of Office).

Athens Campus - Faculty/Staff can purchase the Microsoft Office DVD from the Technology Depot, Baker University Center, 112 (Tech Depot Hours).

Regional Campus

Lancaster is no longer selling any software so faculty/staff would need to email techdepot@ohio.edu and we could process purchase and mail you the software.

Eastern faculty/staff can purchase Office 2013 from the Eastern Library.

Chillicothe faculty/staff can purchase Office 2013 from Chillicothe IT Help Desk, Stevenson Center

Southern faculty/staff can purchase Office 2013 from Southern Computer Services

Zanesville faculty/staff can purchase Office 2013 from Help Desk, Elson hall Room 102

Details

  • The cost for the DVD is $20 (plus tax), cash (credit card can also be used at the Athens campus) - the license has been paid for by OIT.
  • Software is made available to you because Ohio University has purchased license coverage for the Software through its Microsoft Campus Agreement.
  • Under the Campus Agreement, you have the right to use the Software for campus-related purposes at home. You are not licensed to use the Software at home for personal purposes. You do not own the license(s) or the DVDs, rather you are authorized to use the Software and associated media pursuant to the terms and conditions of the Microsoft Campus Agreement during the licensed period. You will be required to remove the Software from your home machine immediately upon expiration of the licensed period or earlier if your employment by Ohio University ends. Home-Use Rights for Ohio University include the following product(s): Microsoft Desktop Suite (Windows 32 & 64-bit operating system upgrades, Office Professional (Windows & Mac), and CoreCAL).
  • You must be a currently employed faculty/staff and have your university ID with you.
  • You may buy only one DVD (per software title).
  • Faculty/Staff will have to sign the pre-printed Faculty/Staff Work at Home Acceptance Form.
