April 27 progress review available via live online stream

OHIO’s Rufus Initiative team will present a halfway point status update to university leadership on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 from 10:00 am to noon in the Walter Hall rotunda. The presentation will be available live online via an Adobe Connect web stream.
The Rufus Initiative is a comprehensive program that will:
- Bring OHIO's next generation PeopleSoft SIS online
- Create a university portal that provides personalized, customizable access to online services and information
- Offer new data reporting tools for deans, department heads, graduate chairs, executives, and other decision makers
- Provide improved tools for recruitment and admissions
- Streamline the way OHIO handles online identities and passwords
The Rufus Initiative will go live for all students in summer quarter 2011. To achieve this target, some components of the new system will need to come online before then. For example, Admissions begins processing applications for the 2011 year during the summer of 2010, so admissions and recruiting-related components will need to be available for the summer of 2010. Financial Aid will be the next module to come online, with Student Financials and Student Records following.
