Service Desk availability and production system changes during winter closure

Monday, December 3, 2012
Sean O'Malley

This is a reminder that the Office of Information Technology, including the Service Desk, will be closed from December 25 through January 1. Please keep the following in mind:

  1. Calls to the OIT Service Desk will be forwarded to the CSC Data Center. You will be able to call 740-593-1222 to report a major, system-wide outage or to request assistance with an urgent, time-sensitive, IT-related issue; however, routine technical support will not be available.
  2. Online requests placed during the closure via http://www.ohio.edu/oitech/ will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis once the university reopens on January 2.
  3. To minimize the risk of downtime, OIT will not make any changes to production systems between December 20 and January 1.

If you have any questions, please contact the OIT Service Desk at 740-593-1222.
