Sean O'Malley

According to Brice Bible, Chief Information Officer, OIT's director of Application Services Shelley Ruff has taken a position with Ohio University's Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.

A search will begin immediately to fill her position.

In the interim, Director of Business Applications & Information Services Brian Bowe, Director of Web Services & Departmental Applications Jay Beam, and Application Integration & Development Manager Don Pendergast will work closely with the Office of the CIO to ensure continuity of leadership and service. Application Services maintains the university's core academic and administrative systems, including:

  • Blackboard
  • PeopleSoft
  • Oracle e-Business Suite
  • OHIO Front Door web server

Bible notes that OIT will keep current Application Services processes and procedures in place. "Service levels will remain high," Bible says. "The Application Services team and I will be reaching out to key constituents to ensure that SIS, e-Business, and Blackboard improvements remain on schedule."

Ruff begins her new position on May 6, 2013.
