Tech Depot hosts NextGen wireless test drive: April 20, 8am-5pm

Thursday, April 19, 2012
Sean O'Malley

Want to try OHIO's NextGen wireless before the pilot goes live in Alden, Baker and Stocker at the end of April?

Bring your favorite WiFi device to the Tech Depot on Friday, April 20 between 8 am and 5 pm. OIT will have a NextGen access point turned on during those hours, and staff will be on hand to answer questions and show you how your device works with the new wireless.

As an added bonus, if you set up automatic logins during your test drive, you'll be all set come April 30th. Your device will remember the connection and will automatically log you in any time you enter a NextGen coverage area. Starting April 30, that will include:

  • Alden Library
  • Baker University Center
  • Computer Services Center
  • Stocker Center
  • West Union Street Office Center
