As part of the university's process to choose a new anti-virus provider, RFP finalists McAfee, Sophos, and Symantec have been invited to give technical overviews and controlled-environment demonstrations of their products during the month of June.
These demos will include an isolated test environment where infected machines can safely be connected and used with the proposed client solutions. Participants also are welcome to bring their own devices to get a first hand sense of the client install process and system performance for typical tasks like updates and full disk scans.
Demo sessions will happen from 8 am to 11 am in the ground floor instructional lab area of the Computer Services Center on the following dates:
Although these sessions are targeted primarily at IT professionals and faculty/staff with advanced technical knowledge, interested members of the university community are welcome to attend.
