activate my OHIO ID?

You can activate your Ohio ID at:

http://www.ohio.edu/myid/

reset my Catmail password

Until May 18, 2013, you can reset your Catmail password online at: 

https://account.live.com/password/reset

After May 18, Catmail will start using your OHIO password.

reset my OHIO password - student or applicant

If you have secret challenge questions set up for your OHIO ID, then you can reset your password online at:

https://access.ohio.edu/selfcare

You will need to know your OHIO ID. If you have forgotten both your OHIO ID and password, please contact the Service Desk.

If you do not have secret challenge questions set up, then you will need to call the Service Desk at 740-593-1222 or present a photo ID at one of the locations listed on our password reset page.

find my MAC/Physical Address?

How to find your MAC address (PDF) has instructions for many common operating systems and devices.   

If your device is not listed in the above PDF guide, you can do a Google search for online instructions using your device's model name and a phrase like "find my MAC address" as the search terms, or you can try contacting the store or manufacturer. 

find my IP Address?

On a Mac OS 10.4, 10.5, 10.6

  1. Got to apple icon upper left hand corner
  2. Click about this Mac
  3. Select more info
  4. Select network on left hand side
  5. Under active services choose either airport for wireless or Ethernet for wired
  6. Scroll down and find IPv4 Address

On Windows Vista, 7

  1. Click the blue globe or start menu
  2. Select control panel
  3. Then select network and sharing center
  4. Click on local area connection or wireless adapter
  5. Then Select details and it will list the IPv4 Address

Windows XP

  1. Select the start menu
  2. Then select control panel
  3. Select network connections
  4. Double click on local area connection or wireless adapter
  5. Then select the support tab
  6. Then select details and it will list the IPv4 Address

clear my browser cache: Android

Android
To clear cache, cookies, or history:
1.    Start your browser.
2.    Tap Menu, and then tap More.
3.    Select Settings.
4.    Under "Privacy settings", select Clear cache, Clear history, or Clear all cookie data as appropriate, and then tap OK to accept (or Cancel to cancel) the deletion.

 Chrome
1.    In the browser bar, enter:   chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
2.    Select the items you want to clear (e.g., Clear browsing history, Clear download history, Empty the cache, Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data).
You can choose the period of time for which you want to clear cached information from the Obliterate the following items from: drop-down menu. To clear your entire cache, select the beginning of time.
3.    Click Clear browsing data.

clear my browser cache: Firefox

 Firefox 3.5 and above for Windows
1.    From the Tools menu, select Clear Recent History...
2.    From the Time range to clear: drop-down menu, select the desired range; to clear your entire cache, select Everything.
3.    Click the down arrow next to "Details" to choose what history elements to clear (e.g., check Cookies to clear cookies). Click Clear Now.

Firefox 3 for Windows
1.    From the Tools menu, select Clear Recent History... and then select the items you want to delete (e.g., Browsing & Download History, Cache, Cookies).
2.    Click Clear Recent History...

Firefox 3.5 and above for Mac OS X
1.    From the Tools menu, select Clear Recent History.
