For most users, we recommend using our web-based client, Outlook Web Access (OWA). For best results, use Internet Explorer, version 6.0 or later. Other browsers (Firefox, Safari, Opera, Chrome, etc.) will result in a “light” version. In any browser, go to http://mail.ohio.edu.
If you prefer to use a more robust client, there are instructions available on the Exchange web site for configuring various clients.
PC users may elect to use MS Office Outlook 2007 or 2010, and Mac users may use MS Office Entourage WSE or a combination of MacMail and iCal (for OS 10.6 and later). For assistance configuring any of these clients, we recommend contacting the Service Desk at 593-1222 or email@example.com.
Most smartphones work well with Exchange, for both email and calendaring. Androids and iPhones are easiest to configure, and Blackberry users should contact the Service Desk for assistance. See the Exchange website for configuration guides for smartphones and mobile devices.
Many self-help resources are available on the Exchange website, as well as links to register for instructor-led training sessions. Microsoft and Lynda.com also offer excellent online resources, demos, and tips.
