December 4, 2009 - Microsoft will be ugrading everyone's CatMail accounts over the next few months. When that happens, you'll have access to some new features, including converstion-based inbox threading, the ability to turn the preview pane on and off, shared calendar access, and support for additional broswers like Firefox, Chrome and Safari.
Microsoft will be upgrading existing accounts gradually over the next month or two. You'll be able to tell when your account has been upgraded when you see some additional menu choices at the top of the main CatMail page.

Initial testing also indicates that Chrome should work with the new version.
MailTips
MailTips helps make sure your communication is right the first time so you can avoid embarrassing mistakes. For example, MailTips will warn users if they have attached large files that exceed the message attachment size limit, before sending. MailTips will also notify
users if someone on the TO line of a message has turned on their 'out of office'.
Conversation view
Streamline your inbox with automatic organization of message threads. Flexibility in various sort orders is available in conversation view. Users are also given the ability to ignore conversations and have them moved directly to the deleted items folder.
Web based Calendar sharing
Outlook Live allows users to share their calendars and free/busy information with other users in the organization via Outlook, Outlook Web App or calendar publishing. Outlook Web App
users now will be able to view shared calendars giving them the ability to check schedules and availability of other users.
Preview pane management
Outlook Live now lets you turn the Outlook Web App preview pane on or off.
