Blackboard Support recommends the following minimum hardware and software requirements in order to access classes on Blackboard. Please note that Blackboard users must have Administrator access to their computers to install programs and use Blackboard

Students and faculty can use the browser checker to check their web browser to ensure that all required plugins for Blackboard are enabled and up to date.
Microsoft Office is required to create and open most assignments in Blackboard. The Technology Depot carries Microsoft Office and is able to ship software to students. (Note: OpenOffice and Google Docs are not supported by Blackboard.)
Please note that loaned (work or business) computers and public computers are often secured from downloading files and installing programs and cannot be supported.
Blackboard Support strongly recommends that users use Mozilla Firefox as it is most compatible with Blackboard
