Classroom Technology

The Office of Information Technology installs, maintains and supports classroom technology packages in all centrally scheduled classrooms on the Athens campus. Technicians are available during the summer from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday to assist instructors, repair equipment, and fulfill requests for additional equipment. Specific equipment varies from room to room.

Why Quality Matters Matters
The College of Fine Arts along with Academic Technologies and CREATE_space is pleased to announce a new professional development series focused on integrating technology into Fine Arts courses.
If you have raised questions regarding the quality of online instruction, the changing attitudes of students, translating course activities to the online environment and trends in digital delivery of education, come participate in the first presentation Why Quality Matters Matters. Matt Dingo will discuss established and emerging trends in online education from the perspective of the teacher/artist engaging in a new medium. He will outline methods to meet the challenge of designing digital courses focusing on Quality Matters, a nationally researched and recognized set of standards for guiding the design of online and hybrid courses.

Interactive Video Workshop
Interested in increasing student engagement in your courses? Join Academic Technologies’ Larry Hess and Audra Hilterbran on Wednesday, October 1 from 1pm-2pm in Alden 319 to learn about free tools for developing interactive content for face to face, blended, and online pedagogical approaches. This workshop will cover technical aspects as well as best practices for creating and implementing these types of tools into your course, feel free to bring your own device to access different applications during the session.
