Degrees
Degrees conferred by the college include the Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.), Bachelor of Science in Journalism (B.S.J.), Bachelor of
Science in Communication (B.S.C.), Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.S.), and Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.).
Special Admission Requirements
To maintain a total enrollment of only 225 students, the program is highly selective. Successful applicants
to the Honors Tutorial College have outstanding ACT and SAT scores, rank in the upper 10 percent of their high school classes, and have excellent
teacher recommendations. Interviews are required for admission.
You must submit your Ohio University admission application and fee, and an official transcript directly to the Honors Tutorial College at the address
listed below. The deadline for receipt of all application materials is December 15, 1997. You will be notified if you are selected for an admission
interview, which must take place by January 15, 1998.

The Honors Tutorial College has consistently been recognized for its quality and has received two Program Excellence Awards from the
Ohio Board of Regents.
Special Programs and Opportunities
Unique in the nation, the Honors Tutorial College is modeled after the one-on-one tutorial system of
such British universities as Oxford and Cambridge. Students combine regular classes with tutorials offered by faculty in a variety of disciplines.
Because students progress rapidly, many graduate in three years. A high percentage of the program's graduates go on to earn advanced degrees.
