Greg Cook, BBA '80, is marketing manager at GTE Federal Credit Union in Tampa, Fla.

Patrick Jackson, BS '81, MS '83, recently received a Distinguished Alumni Award from Ohio University's College of Arts and Sciences. Jackson is a production and exploration geophysicist with Shell Oil. He recently was transferred to the Netherlands to oversee a new exploration venture in the Sakhalin Islands in Russia's far eastern region.

Ginny Pichler, BSN '82, received her doctorate in nursing from George Mason University in Fairfax, Va., in July.

Kim Brown, BSHE '83, MFA '85, was elected president of the National Costumers Association in July. She is co-owner of Spotlight Costumes in Pittsburgh.

Jackie Clouse Snell, BSH '83, married Max Snell Jr. in November 2000. She is in her 17th year as head athletic trainer at Radford (Va.) University.

Nina Mohamed-Nor, BSJ '84, is working as the creative group head with Grey Direct InterActive Malaysia and lives in Kuala Lumpur.

Ronald Teplitzky, AB '84, was elected a trustee of the Montefiore Home in Cleveland. He is the chair of the Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff law firm's Loan Transition Practice Group.

Scott Durcanin, BBA '85, and William Smallzman Nobrega, BGS '90, climbed Alaska's Mount McKinley in June. They met another graduate on the three-week trip, Sue Price Large, BSN '96, who was in their climbing group of six. Durcanin lives in San Francisco, Nobrega in Atlanta and Large in Millersport, Ohio.

Jeffrey Grosenbaugh, BBA '85, married Erin Shackelford in July 2000, and the couple had their first child, Taylor Elizabeth, in August 2001. Jeffrey Grosenbaugh is vice president for private clients with National City Bank in Akron, Ohio.

Kathleen O'Dell, MED '85, PHD '92, was named the 2001 Ohio School Nurse of the Year. She lives in Greenville, Ohio.

Tracy Smith, BSHEC '85, MSHEC '87, was awarded the Dorothy Taber-Thompson Fellowship and the Virginia Vivian Endowment for Research by Ohio State University's Department of Human Nurtrition and Food Management. She received the awards to fund her doctoral work in nutrition at Ohio State.

Thomas Baker, BFA '86, has started a business painting children's furniture and murals in Smyrna, Ga.

Marlon Primes, BSJ '86, is vice president of the National Bar Association. Former president of the association's Cleveland chapter, he recently was named to the board of trustees of the Cleveland Bar Association. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Akron. Primes lives in Cleveland Heights with his wife, Kathi, and their children, Markus and Kayla.

Jennifer Ward, BSPE '86, leads the junior high program offered by the parks and recreation department in the city of Marana, Ariz.

Michael Loeffelholz, PHD '87, is a diplomate of the American Board of Medical Microbiology. He is chief of the virology/serology/molecular biology state hygienic laboratory at the University of Iowa.

Matthew Giansante, BSC '88, is general sales manager for Citadel Radio's Buffalo, N.Y., cluster of stations. He lives in Clarence Center, N.Y., with his wife, Katherine, and their daughter, Sarah.

John Duggan, BSC '89, recently earned a master of arts in theology from the Washington Theological Union in Washington, D.C. After nearly 10 years as a member of the broadcast media, he is a staff assistant for the Secretariat for Family, Laity, Women and Youth at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Christy France, BSHE '89, and her father, former Ohio University baseball coach Jerry France, were scheduled to carry the Olympic torch as it made its way to Salt Lake City in time for the start of the 2002 Winter Games on Feb. 8. Jerry was to carry the torch in Philadelphia or Delaware in late December while Christy planned to handle the task in early January in Chicago. Christy lives in Salt Lake City and serves as marketing director for Olympic Aid, which raises money to support sport and play programs for children living in crisis situations worldwide. "I nominated my dad (to carry the torch) because he has affected so many people in a positive way," she says.

Kikuko Ono Gill, MAIA '89, and her husband, Shane M. Gill, BGS '89, work at Honda. They live in Dublin, Ohio, and have a son, Sean, and a baby girl, Emiko.

Diane Turner Hurns, MSA '89, recently earned The American Society of Safety Engineers' President's Outstanding Achievement Award. She is the society's manager of public relations. She and her husband, Robert, live in Mount Prospect, Ill.

Steve Reilly, BSME '89, is manager of product engineering for Hyson Products in Brecksville, Ohio.

Kevin Tobin, BSPE '89, has been teaching and coaching for 10 years at Lake High School in Stark County, Ohio. He and his wife, Kathy Hawkins Tobin, BSC '88, have two children, Jaime and Holly.
