1930s

Ruth T. George, MA '36, was inducted into the International Poetry Hall of Fame. She has had 26 poems published. She was voted a Distinguished Alumna of Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti.

Manley L. Ford, M.D., BS '38, was awarded emeritus status by the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine for his work in urology. Ford, president of the Summit County Medical Services Bureau, was named Outstanding Teacher of the Year at Akron City Hospital in 1959 and 1990.

1940s

Rebecca L. Hodes, BA '43, is an independent travel agent associated with Aloha Travel Inc. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., which has 12 offices in Ohio, Kentucky and Florida.
