William R. Butler, BSED '50, MA '51, retired in May following 32 years as vice president of student affairs at the University of Miami (Fla.). He was appointed as Ohio University's dean of men in 1959 and its first dean of students in 1962 before moving to Miami. Earlier this year, Butler received the Scott Goodnight Award from the National Association of Student Personnel Administration.
Billie Reid Koleman, BSED '50, was honored at a reception proclaiming "Miss Billie's Day" in September in Summit County and Park City, Utah. The day recognized Koleman's 20 years of outstanding service with the community's children. She began Park City's first formal preschool in 1976.
Frank J. Banovic, BSEE '55, recently retired as an electrical engineer following a 35-year career with General Electric Co. He lives in Utica, N.Y.
Marjorie Lee Moore Chandler, BFA '57, has published a new book, After Your Child Divorces, Zondervan Publishing, 1996, drawn from actual family scenarios and interviews. The book is a guide for parents as they cope with the frustrations of a child's divorce. Chandler is an online columnist on family matters and is a speaker for Family Ties Ministries.
Clayton W. Henderson, BFA '58, MFA '60, professor of music at Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Ind., took a sabbatical leave while writing a book on the life and music of Hoosier song composer Paul Dresser. He is continuing his research this summer at Harvard University's Houghton Library Theatre Collection. He is the author of The Charles Ives Tunebook.
Timothy Hume Behrendt, BSED '59, recently celebrated 25 years with the Unitarian Universalist Church in Utica, N.Y., by publishing the book Pathways To Mindless Rapture. He writes a weekly column for The Ashtabula Journal.
