Ohio University made news in Europe in April and May. An Ohio University Cornelius Ryan Exhibition appearing this spring at the National Army Museum in London prompted coverage in several media, including The Times of London, The American Newspaper, Chelsea News, The War Correspondent, What's On in London, East Kent Mercury and The Irish News. A television news story on the exhibition also appeared on Channel One in London.
Ohio University Ryan exhibitions, which are developed from the battle book archives of World War II author Cornelius Ryan at Alden Library's Department of Archives and Special Collections, have been the focus of alumni and VIP receptions in Europe and at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., over the past two years.
In Berlin on April 3, President Robert Glidden was the featured
speaker at the Aspen Institute for a roundtable discussion with
German higher education officials on the uses of new technology.
Prior to the roundtable, Glidden was interviewed by a Radio Deutsche
Welle reporter for a feature broadcast in Europe and to North
America, Asia and Africa.
