For more than 50 years, a group of pre-World War II graduates have returned to Ohio University for Homecoming to share "an awful lot of sentiment because of the strong relationships built at OU," says Pete Lalich, BSCOM '42, OU Inn Group member.

The Inn Group was named in 1984 by Dick Linke, BSJ '41, who holds the group's 54-year Homecoming attendance record, after it contacted Ray Hanley, then manager of the Ohio University Inn on Richland Avenue, and eventually began meeting and staying at the Inn each Homecoming. About 30 members of the group are planning to attend this fall's Homecoming.

Retiring Vice President for Development and Inn Group member Jack Ellis, BSCOM '57, doesn't believe there is another group like it in America. "They love Ohio University and have shown considerable support to the university over the years," Ellis says.
