Associate Professor of History Jeffrey Herf’s book review of “My German Question,” Peter Gay’s account of growing up during the 1930s in Germany, appeared in the Nov. 3 issue of The Wall Street Journal. Herf is the author of “Divided Memor y: The Nazi Past in the Two Germanys,” which won the 1996 Fraenkel Prize in Contemporary History and the American Historical Association’s George Louis Beer prize in January.
